About Our Client
Our client is a well established company which offers all-round distribution services to various brands and clients. To cater further business development, they are looking for an experienced logistics candidate to lead the local delivery team.
This is a management role accountable for managing the daily operations of the local delivery. It is a sizable team with including in-house truck delivery team and logistics staff from the outsourced service providers. With your solid management skills, you will plan and manage the overall transportation process flow to achieve highest cost effectiveness and operational efficiency. You will keep track of the overall performance and carry out timely review to investigate if any improvement required. You will also play a key role in managing the budgeting and resources allocation to meet the demand, including managing and negotiating with third party service providers.
The Successful Applicant
To qualify, you will have at least 8 years of work experience in transportation with strong track record in managing local delivery and outsourced service providers. Strong communication skill is required for people management. You will also be strong in dealing with budgeting. Good command in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) is required.
