About Our Client
Our client is a well known retailer with a strong network of distribution channel through own branded stores and external stores. To cater the continuous business development, they are looking for a solid trade compliance candidate to mange the regional areas including China, Australia and other APAC region.
Reporting to the Director, you will take full responsibility in managing the trade compliance operations in the APAC region. As the expert in international trade compliance and customs regulations, you will represent the corporate in relationship building and liaise with related government organisations and brokers to ensure the activities align with the required policies and procedures. In the long run, you will play the role as change agent to drive process improvements to optimise the operational level while also meeting the regulations in local governments.
The Successful Applicant
To qualify, you will have a Degree in Supply Chain, Trade Compliance, International Trade or related field. You will have strong experience in trade compliance. You will also need solid knowledge in import/export regulations and international trade procedures. Prior regional and product (e.g. footwear) exposures would be of absolute advantage. You will have strong communication skills as you will have to build and maintain relationships with government organisations, cross functional teams and external parties. Excellent command in English is essential. You will also be open to occasional travel.
