About Our Client

Our client is a leading multinational corporation within the automotive manufacturing sector with a global revenue base in excess of US$2billlion. As the business looks to expand into the Asian market, an opportunity has arisen at senior manager grade to lead a dynamic team of professionals.

Job Description
Reporting to the General Manager, you will have ultimate responsibility for all accounting and finance functions of the production plant, adhering to and implementing corporate policies and procedures. Key responsibilities will include the provision of financial planning, budget preparation and budgetary controls as well as financial and management reporting. As an integral part of the management team, you will analyse the performance of various business functions and make recommendations as to the improvement of business process and internal controls. There will also be emphasis on costing analysis and inventory control. Your input will help senior executives efficiently manage the business and determine strategic direction so precision is key.

The Successful Applicant
You will be a qualified accountant possessing at least 8-10 years' experience within the manufacturing sector. Hands-on working experience in China is essential as is exposure to joint venture operations. A strong working knowledge of costing and inventory control is desirable as is a solid grasp of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), PRC GAAP and PRC tax issues. You will possess excellent interpersonal skills, able to communicate effectively between JV partners and the workforce. Fluency in English and Mandarin is essential.
