Job Description
With an internal promotion there is now a requirement for an experienced retail asset manager to join the retail team based in Shanghai. This role will oversee the asset strategy of a defined portfolio across China focusing on maximizing revenue generation. You will advise an internal property management team, liaise with internal legal specialists and take responsibility for all financial management of the portfolio. You will also define the leasing and marketing strategy of the assets. There will a heavy focus on tenant management and retention. Tenants will vary but will be focused on high-end retail, local providers and international chain stores.
The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate will have 8 - 10 years of extensive experience in retail asset management with an ability to derive asset management strategy from a macro economic perspective. You will be able to communicate at a variety of levels giving thought to cultural, social and business parameters and have proven experience managing and deriving highest and best use from a retail portfolio. Previous team management and development is also required. Prior experience in Asia and fluency in both Mandarin and English is essential to succeed in the role.
