About Our Client
Our client is a well-established European multinational with a global presence in 30 countries and over 8000 employees, specialised in the provision of testing, inspection and quality compliance assurance services for a range of sectors. Due to continued organic growth and development of new markets they now require a commercially astute Technical Manager to lead the electrical testing division.

Job Description
Reporting to General Manager you will lead the electrical testing business unit and drive the expansion of the operational teams in the provision of testing procedures and standards including EN, ISO and IEC. With full P&L responsibility, you will provide the technical lead for the daily operations of the laboratory and deliver national and international accreditations and the supporting internal policies and procedures. Determining capital investment levels for equipment, provision of consultation services to clients, managing multiple test projects and ensuring best practice is shared across global offices are all key elements of this new role.

The Successful Applicant
Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering, you will possess a minimum of 5 years experience in home appliance or related product testing, preferably within a multinational environment. An excellent knowledge of product certification schemes including GS-Mark, IECEE, and CE is required. With a track record of success in conducting multiple test projects through the efficient management of an internationally accredited laboratory, you will also demonstrate the ability to clearly communicate a range of technical issues with both domestic and international clients. Candidates with a hands-on management style and a strong desire to rapidly develop their career within a global business are strongly encouraged to apply. Fluency in English and Mandarin is a prerequisite.
