Currently, the company is recruiting talents for the role of team manager in a global project.
Job Description
- Understand and comply with all relevant policies and procedures issued by the Group and contained within the Group Standards Manual and relevant Functional Instruction Manuals, Desk Instruction Books and Process Guides.
- To assist senior management to manage all elements of operational risk related to the GSC, Compliance, Data Protection, Health and Safety and Money laundering reviews.
- Manage all elements of operational risk related to the GSC, Compliance, Data Protection , Health and Safety and Money laundering reviews.
- To maintain HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
- To implement the Group compliance policy locally by containing compliance risk in liaison with the Global Compliance Officer, Area Compliance Officer or Local Compliance Officer, ensuring adequate compliance resources and training , fostering a compliance culture and optimizing relations with regulators.
As the team leader, will be responsible for the output of the team and will personally carry out the following duties:
- industry/company analysis
- complex modelling/valuation
- production of key reports/presentations for internal use and contribution to externally published reports
- contact as necessary with 3rd party Company management
- regular communication with the global team and with other parts of CIBM. Take active part in regular sector conference calls
- day-to-day management of the team, including setting objectives and delivering high performance (quality, deadlines, etc)
- validation of requirements of onshore team and ensuring that onshore teams are satisfied with offshore work
- ensuring proper training and development of team members and carrying out staff appraisals.
The Successful Applicant
- Degree, ideally in Mathematics, Engineering, Business, Finance, Economics or equivalent.
- Must have Financial qualification – either CA or MBA/Finance degree.
- CFA preferable.
Research
Highly proficient at financial modeling/analysis.
- Knowledge of statistical/quantitative techniques an advantage
Sector
- Excellent knowledge of relevant sector, its terminology and its issues
Management
Experience of managing teams
Systems
- Highly proficient at Excel, Word and Powerpoint; database skills an advantage
Personal
- Excellent English, written and spoken; hard-working; organized; diligent; and above all, a team player
Career History
5-10 years work experience, gained in at least 1 of the following:
- Consulting
- Relevant industry experience, in strategy/planning or research role
- equity research
- BPO – research team
- credit ratings agency
