About Our Client
Our client is a full-service US based architecture firm recognized for setting the standards in both design and client service. Currently experiencing rapid growth in Asia they are looking for a senior management position to be the figurehead for their mainland China business.

Job Description
-Responsible for the design quality of every project produced by the Team whether or not filling the role of Team Design Leader
-Responsible for moving the Team forward in appropriate use of innovative design and building technology
-Responsible for interviewing and hiring qualified design professionals for the Team and giving them design assignments that are challenging but within their capabilities
-Responsible for the growth of design talent that is capable of supporting the Design Leader and handling smaller projects within the Team, and for developing Design Leaders for new projects
-Responsible for contributing to the Firm?s general and specific business development efforts
-Responsible for collaborating with others in the Team Leadership Triad, the Process Management Lead and the Technical Design Lead

The Successful Applicant
-Minimum of 10 years experience in the Architectural design community
-Professional registration
-Excellent presentation skills, both graphically and verbally
-Experience in a variety of project sizes and complexity with a specific market expertise
-Excellent design leadership skills
-Knowledge of CADD and computer use
-Appreciation of the importance of other facets of a Team's success- in Business Development, Process Management, and Technical Design
-Award recognition for a project success is a plus, but not a requirement
-Broad understanding of business and management aspects of professional practice
-Understanding of the Firm?s design vision, in particular its emphasis on quality and collaboration
