Job Description

Reporting to the Global Supply Chain Director you will be responsible for managing the supply chain resources and activities across Procurement, Logistics and Technical, for the Shanghai based IPO of Arysta.

Your main responsibilities also include:

  • Implementing purchasing strategies and best practices that achieve savings targets, improvement of product quality and continuity of supply, while at the same time meeting the company’s global safety and compliance policies.
  • Identifying and qualifying key strategic suppliers that can support procurement activities of both proprietary and generic products.
  • Networking effectively within the global organization and be seen as a centre of excellence for sourcing in China.
  • Leading the end to end sourcing process; supplier identification and qualification assessment, Contract negotiation, Contract management, Supplier development and relationship management.
  • Promoting an ethical, professional, loyal and honest work ethic amongst all employees.

The Successful Applicant
You must have a Bachelor's degree in chemistry or at least 10 years experience in purchasing or trading in chemicals. An independent and proactive self-starter, you will have an acute commercial sense with an excellent track record of financial savings and strong negotiation and communication skills. You will have experience of managing a team of supply chain professionals and you must have worked for a global MNC in a regional role. Fluency in English and Chinese is essential (Competency in other languages a plus)
