About Our Client

Listed in the UK, our client is a major supplier of high-quality kitchen, homeware and joinery products to retail and property industries. As part of their expansion plans, they currently seek a polished individual to join their Hong Kong buying office.

Job Description

Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for sourcing high quality home products in the Asia Pacific region including kitchens, appliances, flooring and joinery. You will maintain close relationships with vendors, drive cost reduction initiatives and continuously evaluate their price competitiveness, quality standards and performance. Working closely with buyers and designers in the UK, you will develop strategic sourcing plans in line with market and commodity conditions. Utilising your relationship building skills you will play a vital role in hosting buyers when they visit the region.

The Successful Applicant

To qualify for this role, you will have a minimum of 8 years sourcing management experience in the areas of hardware, home appliances, kitchen / bathroom furniture, wood and raw materials. An understanding of quality standards and a sound knowledge of the UK market is preferred. A driven and innovative leader, you will be teamwork-oriented and possess excellent presentation and negotiation skills. You will also have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with fluency in both English and Mandarin.
