The opportunities now has arisen for an exceptional Master Black Belt to join their successful organization.

Job Description

  • Lead and train, continuous improvement projects, project leaders, Black Belts and Green Belts, to complete high-value business projects to measurable bottom-line impact.
  • Provide one on one leadership and support to project leaders, teams and Black Belts during their projects supplementing, as necessary, formal Black Belt training;
  • Work with manufacturing and supplier management teams to create a prioritized project pipeline(s) that delivers the highest value projects with the lowest effort and investment.
  • Lead, drive and support projects and team members so that identified and planned CI projects are fully/properly completed through a formal and documented DMAIC process cycle.
  • Conduct formal project reviews with management to identify and eliminate time driving barriers to successful implementation of solutions in the Improve phase of DMAIC.
  • Lead by example in demonstrating excellent tact and diplomacy while continuing to drive project goals forward toward successful conclusion.

The Successful Applicant

  • Education: 4 Year college degree required, advanced degree and/or MBA desirable.
  • Certified Black Belt. Sunbeam Corporation, GE, Allied Signal, Motorola, Raytheon or equivalent.
  • Training in expanded 6 Sigma topics desirable (DFSS, Advanced DOE, Transactional 6 Sigma, etc).
  • Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to use and demonstrate the 6 Sigma Body of Knowledge.
  • Deliver from a minimum of $2 Million USD annually in documented, verifiable financial impact and cost reduction through successful project execution, completion and solution implementation.
  • Personally lead and conclude at least 1 project per quarter.
  • Demonstrated experience identifying, planning and completing high impact DMAIC continuous Improvement projects.
  • 2 years minimum in a full time Black Belt or Master Black Belt role, or equivalent demonstrated experience/ability.
  • Experience training and coaching multiple waves of Black Belts and Green Belts
  • Must be able to work with Black Belts, Green Belts and team members to guide them through the DMAIC & DMADV problem solving process and achieve measurable results.
  • Strong persuasion skills in the absence of formal authority
  • Knowledge and ability to use MiniTab software to properly analyze data
  • A minimum of 10 years experience in business and industry demonstrating measurable impact in a manufacturing environment.
  • Leadership and/or participation in a broad range of 6 Sigma project types (i.e. manufacturing, finance, purchasing, transactional, etc). is desirable.
  • Substantial time spent in PRC factories (at least 90%) in the SE China area.
