Our client is a well established organization with an impressive portfolio of toy brands which are sold globally. Due to continual growth in their market, an excellent opportunity has arisen for a high calibre individual to join their Dongguan operation.
Job Description
Reporting to the Operations Director, you will lead the logistics department and oversee all inbound and outbound logistics activities. You will be responsible for shipping, warehousing, customs and inventory control, with a focus on meeting customer deadlines. You will be expected to develop and implement process improvements across all of these functions, while developing staff competence to cope with unforeseen scenarios. The development of new and existing relationships with 3PL providers will also be imperative to ensure operational and cost effectiveness.
The Successful Applicant
Degree qualified with a minimum of 10 years experience within logistics, you will have spent at least 5 years in a management role, preferably within the toy or FMCG sector. Your expertise should include SAP systems, FOB orders, handling customs procedures (especially between Mainland China and Hong Kong) and a strong comprehension of how to manage 3PL vendors. With excellent communication and negotiation skills, you will demonstrate a dynamic attitude and function well in a demanding business environment. Fluency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin is essential.
