Our client is a global leader in the provision of software and processing solutions to a wide range of clients in financial services, higher education and public sector. Continued growth in the Asian region has led to the creation of a new Senior Legal Counsel position to join their Regional team.
Job Description
Reporting to the Head of Corporate Development & Legal based in Hong Kong, the Senior Legal Counsel will handle general in-house legal issues and be responsible for advising on and negotiating a range of commercial and technology contracts with customers and business partners in the region. You will also need to liaise with senior management across multiple locations and provide analysis and solutions for a rapidly changing market.
The Successful Applicant
Successful candidates will be qualified lawyers from common-law or US jurisdictions, with at least 8 years post-qualification experience gained from a leading law firm and/or a multinational. Previous experience in the IT industry and/or technology contracts experience will be preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills and strong business acumen are required. You will be an independent, dynamic individual who can demonstrate the ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. Fluent English is essential; Mandarin language skills (spoken and written) would be preferred.
