In order to sustain a high level of quality in its financial reporting, they are seeking a strong finance professional to join the senior management team.

Job Description

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be an integral part of the senior management structure, charged with the responsibility to align accounting services functions and manage operational requirements of a Shared Services team in China. Working closely with CEOs and CFOs of group companies, you will provide regular reporting on KPI performance and evaluate the effectiveness of business process. You will oversee all aspects of the accounting cycle including month-end closing, general ledger and financial statements preparation, tax and Sarbanes Oxley implementation. In addition, you will be integral in advising financial strategies and implementing the necessary controls and policies to meet with the corporate objectives.

The Successful Applicant

You should be a professionally qualified accountant with 8-10 years' proven experience of managing sizable teams within a multinational corporation. Excellent technical knowledge of accounting concepts, regional exposure and the creativity for problem solving and resolution of conflicts are imperative. Previous working knowledge of IFRS and IAS principles is desirable as is exposure to a Shared Service set-up. Key to success is your ability to provide effective leadership and direction for a large team. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise and support senior management are also essential. Excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin essential.
