Established over 70 years ago, our client is a European brand of hand tools with a solid network of importers and distributors worldwide.

Job Description
Reporting to the Export Sales General Manager, you will spearhead business development across Asia Pacific. You will be responsible for the P&L and will implement go-to market strategies to achieve regional sales targets. Working closely with the headquarters in Europe, you will be provided with full initial product training and learn about the corporate export commercial policies. You will be responsible for developing channels and identifying growth opportunities by building relationships with distributors and agents across the region. Additionally, you will educate end users and channel partners on the value proposition and benefits of your products. You will also drive various marketing initiatives and lead generation programs with an objective to increase brand awareness and market share across Asia Pacific.

The Successful Applicant
You will have a degree in Business or Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in sales within industrial consumer products, ideally hand or power tools. You will have a successful track record in developing channels, and possess an excellent network of distributors across Asia Pacific. You are results-oriented with a “can-do” attitude and an entrepreneurial spirit enabling you to work independently in a start-up environment. You also possess excellent communication and negotiation skills. Fluency in written and spoken English and Mandarin is essential as you will have frequent interaction with partners in China. Any additional Asian language would be an advantage.
