Headquartered in the United States, our client is a leading global provider of specialized software systems and integrated IT solutions to some of the world's largest government and industrial organizations. Continued growth in Asia has led to the creation of a new role, based in Hong Kong.
Job Description
Reporting to the General Counsel based in the United States, this exciting new Regional Legal Counsel position will provide legal support to the company's operations throughout Asia. The successful candidate will advise on a broad range of commercial and IT agreements and oversee strategic transactions including conducting due diligence and negotiating joint ventures and acquisitions. In addition this position will also be responsible for ensuring the company complies with relevant trade regulations and will manage any litigation matters.
The Successful Applicant
Successful candidates will be qualified lawyers from US or common law jurisdictions with 5-7 years' post qualification experience gained from a leading law firm and/or sizeable organization. You should have solid commercial and transactional experience including M&A, as well as working knowledge of regional trade and regulatory matters. In addition to being a team player you will have good business acumen and previous exposure to the IT/technology industry would be advantageous. English and Chinese language skills (written and spoken) as well as the willingness to travel are essential for this role.
