About Our Client

China Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research Co., Ltd are part of a global healthcare leader with one of the most exciting product pipelines in the industry today. With a focus on China they are constructing an integrated R&D Centre, located in Shanghai, dedicated to diseases with high prevalence in Asia.

Job Description

Assure the entire campus project in Shanghai is designed, constructed and commissioned according to agreed quality, schedule and cost targets while maintaining stakeholder satisfaction.

Further key responsibilities will include; leading multiple functional teams to accomplish the successful completion of the campus project. You will also manage all aspects of quality, time lines and cost of deliverables
Good communication skills are required to report project status and key issues to the senior management teams in both Europe and the US.

The Successful Applicant

To be successful you must have:

• Demonstrated a history of leading large building design and construction projects through to at least first year of occupancy.
• Track record of bringing major construction programs in on budget and meeting all major deadlines.
• Successful history of working with first-tier architects
• Ability to interact with senior western based management teams
• Knowledge of, and ability to negotiate and oversee local Chinese project management and construction companies.
• Knowledge of approval processes for all aspects of large construction programs in China.
• A personal network among key industry and government officials would be an advantage.
