About Our Client
Our client is a leading US office supplies company with more than 1300 stores worldwide. The company now seeks for an experienced Merchandising Manager to lead their furniture team in their Futian Buying Office.
Job Description
Reporting to the Merchandising Director, you will work with US and Asian management teams to establish department goals and sourcing strategies for business growth and smooth operation. You will lead the merchandising team, overseeing product development, price and lead-time negotiations, sourcing and production. You will identify new vendors in the Asia Pacific Region and evaluate their performance and capabilities to ensure quality and timely deliveries. In addition, you will use buy plans and product specifications to determine product placement decisions by supplier and factory.
The Successful Applicant
To qualify, you will have a minimum of 6 years experience in furniture sourcing and merchandising with at least 2-3 years experience in a managerial capacity. You will have an in-depth knowledge of market trends, product knowledge and a strong vendor base in the Asia Pacific region for office furniture. Candidates with sourcing experience in Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia are highly sought after. A results driven leader, you will have excellent communication, negotiation, presentation and interpersonal skills with good command in English and Mandarin. PRC candidates from a multinational company background are welcome.
