About Our Client
Our client is an agricultural MNC with strong supply partnerships with the world's best known brands. Employing many thousands of people on all continents, they are now looking to substantially increase their China footprint.
Job Description
A high profile position has become available supporting the new GM with Organizational Development, Change Management, Talent Management & Succession Planning. With the projected growth (both organic and through M&A) this role will be essential in providing HR leadership and upskilling the organisation in Beijing to its international standards.
In order to help the international management scale up a business in a short period of time, you will initiate & implement the infrastructure, model & methodologies of the business.
You should consider this role to be a "blank canvas" where you will form a strategic vision using an entrepreneurial, set-up mentality. However, you have the MNC resources to hand and will be able to draw on a huge amount of expertise & guidance from a genuine network capability – decent level of support.
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will have circa 15 years of experience, perhaps most recently Talent Management & Succession Planning (especially Team Development & Upskilling) from a matrix organization, although our client remains open minded on this for the right personality.
The mid-Management team is both international & domestic so this person must be able to get “buy-in” on things like the recruitment strategy, and capability development, not least “change” from the business.
Working at the firm’s C-Level & with the GM, this person must deal with strong business growth and handle “ambiguity” as it arises through business & functional flexibility. At both levels this means helping people – partnering & also a strong coach mentality.
Those people with an OD & Change background are especially relevant as well because technically, having dealt with things like acquisitions will have given this person exposure to Due Diligence and meeting growth targets.
As a HR leader the successful candidate will have had experience across all of the main areas, and as above, especially in leading change.
The person must have superlative English language (oral & written) skills with a very international background and a China-centric career focus.
What's On Offer
Very attractive remuneration and above market benefits.
