About Our Client
Our client is a subsidiary of a global apparel group, serving European medium to high end clothing retailers and brands. Due to expansion, our client requires a dynamic and experienced Head of Product Development Manager to join the business.

Job Description
Reporting directly to the MD, you will be responsible for establishing a new team looking after both product development and fabric sourcing for woven and jersey knits. Working closely with the merchandising and design teams, you will source and liaise with outsourced sample rooms and garment vendors to negotiate on sampling costs, lead time as well as monitor the whole product development process. You will ensure that style packs are translated correctly with samples produced within a short turnaround time. Additionally, you will manage the fabric & trims library and sample inventories.

The Successful Applicant
You will have a minimum of 10 years experience in design, product development and fabric sourcing for knits and woven ladieswear for international labels. Candidates must have experience gained from a manufacturing/trading background, placing orders with the sample room, managing costs, timing, quality as well as the technical aspects during the sampling process. A hands-on and self-motivated team player, you will possess excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills. Good English and Chinese language skills are essential.
