About Our Client

Our client is a world leading distributor and dealer of automotives and automotive parts with over 10,000 employees world wide. In the Asia Pacific Region the group has a number of entities engaged in the manufacture and supply of parts for all markets. Following a recent acquisition we are looking to recruit a Financial Controller to head the finance function for one of the manufacturing operations in Guangzhou.

Job Description

Key responsibilities for the post will be as follows:

• Mentor, Manage and Build a Strong Finance Team
• Daily, weekly, monthly and annual financial reporting
• Finalise the annual statutory and IFRS audit report
• Prepare annual budget for the factory in conjunction with group finance
• Implement group internal control procedures and ensure compliance
• Develop and implement all factory finance policies to ensure the operation is in line with group standard
• Cash flow management and tax planning

The Successful Applicant

must be a university graduate with at least 8 years experience in finance and accounting, primarily within a manufacturing environment (a minimum of 3 of these in a management role). Applicants must hold a relevant recognised professional accounting qualification and have experience and familiarity with IFRS. You will be a native speaker of Mandarin but it is essential that you are fluent in spoken and written English also with exceptional communication and commercial skills. Candidates from a multinational environment and experience of ERP systems will be preferred.
