About Our Client
Our client is a leading European multinational, engaged in the manufacturing and sales of systems and products for lighting projects. In view of their continuous expansion in China, a Financial Controller is now being sought to spearhead the finance function of this region.

Job Description
Reporting to the Head of Operations and Sales Director, you will ensure the integrity of financial information for the Guangzhou factory and nationwide sales offices. Fueling the transparency of information flow between the China operation, regional offices and the European Headquarters, you will have ultimate responsibility for all financial and management reporting, costing, budgeting and forecasts. A key duty will be to will examine the effectiveness of business and internal controls, implementing changes where appropriate. Furthermore, you will work closely with local authorities to ensure stringent compliance with PRC reporting requirements and tax regulations. Another challenge is to drive and improve the efficiency and quality of the Finance Department, promote teamwork, provide coaching and develop the team members.

The Successful Applicant
This position demands a qualified accountant, with at least 5 years relevant experience in a comparable position gained within a multinational manufacturing operation as well as sales. Most importantly, you should be an experienced people manager with sound ERP systems skills, product costing exposure as well as hands-on experience with PRC GAAP and tax regulations. A strong personality, coupled with the capability to work as a finance business partner with senior management, is essential. Fluency in English and Mandarin are pre-requisites.
