Our UK client is an industry leader with a history of over 100 years. It has a manufacturing presence on three continents and sells to blue chip customers in over 50 countries. In line with their business expansion strategy in the South China region, they are hiring a stable finance professional to join the team.

Job Description

Reporting directly to the Plant General Manager, and a functional reporting to the group Chief Financial Officer, you will be a key member of the senior management team responsible for the full spectrum of finance and accounting duties at the 2 factories in Foshan.

Your duties include:

-Leading a small team of reporting, costing and tax accountants and managing any future growth in functions undertaken by the finance organization

-Ensure the integrity of financial reports in compliance with UK GAAP and PRC GAAP

-Overseeing tax issues, managing treasury operations and banking relationships, and implementing effective internal controls

-Working closely with senior management and highlight any possible recommendations and strategy to improve the business.

The Successful Applicant
You will be a qualified accountant with at least 6 years of experience gained within a multinational corporation, preferably within a manufacturing environment in China. Working knowledge of PRC accounting standards, tax and Customs regulations and willingness to work in Foshan factories for a period of time are prerequisites. As a strong leader, you will be able to demonstrate sound commercial judgment and willingness to be hands-on when necessary. Furthermore, you will be expected to provide General Manager with financial advice and information. Fluency in English and Mandarin is essential.
