About Our Client
Our client is a prolific US intimate wear and active wear brand with a major global presence. Due to continued expansion of their sourcing activities in Asia, new positions now exist in their Hong Kong Buying office.

Job Description
Reporting to the Director of Global Fabric Development and Research you will work with internal and external sources to develop innovative fabrics, fibres and components. Creating an appropriate fabric library you will ensure legalities for exclusivity are secured and a pipeline of innovative materials are achieved. Furthermore, you will be responsible for fabric testing, policy formation and implementation, relationship building with suppliers as well as researching market changes/developments.

The Successful Applicant
Degree qualified in Textile Technology or related discipline you will have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in textiles/textile design, pattern making and production. With strong technical knowledge of fabric and trims, you will understand fabric construction, manufacturing, design for the active wear industry and possess excellent communication, team building and organisation skills. Energetic and assertive, you will be a confident leader who is fluent in English. Chinese language skills will be advantageous.
