About Our Client
Our client is a fast growing and dynamic US MNC focused in the design, development and sourcing of innovative consumer lifestyle products. They are currently actively seeking an Engineering Director to be based out of their Product Development Center in Shenzhen.

Job Description
Reporting to the VP Operations, you will be in charge of all aspects of product development/engineering projects in China, prior to final production at suppliers. You will be covering a multi-disciplinary team covering concept phase design, electrical, mechanical engineering as well as product testing. You are expected to give hands-on technical guidance and close liaison with Quality and Marketing functions will also constitute as key elements to the role. Continuous training and development of junior technical staff will form part of your administrative responsibility.

The Successful Applicant
Degree qualified in a technical discipline, you will have a minimum of 10 years consumer goods design and development experience with solid hands-on product development exposure, preferably within consumer electronics, juvenile/toy products. You will ideally have a successful track record in managing a small sized team and be able to demonstrate a good balance of hands-on and delegating approach. Strong awareness on product costing, manufacturability and safety regulations are necessary. You must have strong communication skills and fluency in English, Mandarin are expected.
