About Our Client
Our client is a multinational professional firm. To support their business growth in the region, they are looking for an experienced and dynamic individual to join their South China team.

Job Description

  • This Risk Director will be responsible for the whole risk department within Guangzhou/Shenzhen office.
  • This role will include managing the existing staff and the current client portfolio, as well as developing and rolling out a strategy to ensure future growth in Southern China.
  • You will be a critical sounding board for engagement teams servicing the client base.
  • You will also play a significant role in staff development through training and the sharing of knowledge on a national, regional and global basis.
  • You will have the ability to build a network of contacts across the global firm, develop relationships at the highest level, and leverage this network for the benefit of the firm and its clients
  • This Risk Director role is critical in ensuring that rapidly expanding maintains its market position in the provision of internal audit and risk advisory services.
  • Depending on experience and skill sets, responsibilities may include business development, sales, and marketing of advisory services, including but not limited to boosting the firm’s profile in the marketplace, identifying opportunities for advisory services, and preparing proposals as required.
  • This Risk Director role will be particularly attractive to those who have experience or knowledge in risk based auditing or those who have experience in advising management on ways to improve performance and controls.
  • The role will also be attractive to those who would like to travel and have local and international working experience.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate should have a good mix of the qualifications and competencies as outlined below:

Relevant experience in internal audit and/or risk compliance in the financial services industry or professional services firm, and at least 5 years at the Management level

Strong leadership skills and a high level of professional maturity Good business acumen and a strong sense of business development

High degree of resourcefulness, flexibility and adaptability

Strong presentation skills with an excellent command of verbal and written English; Mandarin is preferable
