Due to their continued success they are expanding their Logistics unit and are looking to appoint a China Logistics Manager to assist with the set up of their first DC in Shenzehn

Job Description

Reporting to the Asian Logistics Manager the purpose of this new role within the organization is to project manage and subsequently manage required distribution function in China, inline with the demands of the business. Whilst the list is not exhausted, the project currently encompasses the set up of a Distribution Centre to service

a) our existing retail outlets in the Hong Kong market,

b) anticipated growth in Hong Kong and Southern China

c) worldwide supply to all new and existing retail outlets of store fixtures

d) an on line solution.

The Successful Applicant
Preferably several years experience working in China in a Distribution management roles either in retail or FMCG. Have an understanding of the intricacies that operating in China brings. Specifically regarding import/export duties and bonded warehousing facilities. Has the ability to project manager, whilst demonstrating a thorough understanding of operating and managing Distribution facilities. The candidate must be able to work autonomously; able to control and understand the intricacies of the China market. A major quality needed for this role is the ability to manage people and people with different cultures. Great interpersonal communication. They must be able to be persuasive and have fantastic organizing skills. Cost management is critical.The candidate must be proactive and a tactical thinker, someone who is detail focused, flexible and thrives on challenges
