Our client is a leading provider of retail, corporate and institutional banking products and services to a diversified global client base and is recognised as a dynamic international financial services organisation. A rare opportunity now exists to join their senior management team in Asia as Chief Risk Officer.

Job Description

This business critical position reports to the Regional CEO as well as the Global Chief Risk Officer, with responsibility for developing and implementing a universal and sound Risk Management strategy and framework for the Retail, Corporate, and Institutional Banking divisions.

Specifically, your role will involve leading the Operational Risk, Compliance, Credit, Market and non-traded Market Risk functions on a regional basis by working closely with Head Office, regional business heads, and regulatory bodies.

The Successful Applicant

You will be degree-qualified with over 10 years Operational Risk or Regulatory Compliance experience gained in a Retail, Commercial, or Institutional Banking environment, ideally with exposure to regional markets and regulators in the Asian region. You will demonstrate excellent leadership and technical knowledge with the ability to inspire your team.

Strong interpersonal skills and a sense of balance, judgment, and integrity will be critical to your success. Well-developed skills in written and spoken English are necessary.
