About Our Client

Our client is a leading European multinational in the utilities sector. With an unrivaled appetite for growth in China, they are seeking the expertise of a seasoned senior finance professional to help lead the integration of a key strategic joint venture.

Job Description

Hired by the European arm of this exciting enterprise, you will report into a Managing Director and act as a bridge between JV partners to ensure optimum performance of this key China entity. Having full responsibility for the accounting function, you will exercise control over reporting and costing processes and manage the budgetary and forecast cycles. Your mandate will be to ensure the smooth transition from local management culture to that of internationally recognised standards of best practice, implementing corporate policy and procedure. As a number one finance executive, you will also lead the development of external relationships with bankers, lawyers, auditors and local government regulatory bodies.

The Successful Applicant
Candidates must have proven management skills to work effectively with joint venture partners, be confident, diplomatic and possess the gravitas to be assertive when necessary. Representing the foreign company, you must demonstrate experience within change management, have high levels of integrity and the technical skills and competence to drive change in a hands-on manner. Excellent communication skills in English are essential with Mandarin a distinct advantage. Expatriates welcome.
