About Our Client
Our client is a European consumer durable multinational with manufacturing, sales and distribution operations across the Americas, EMEA and the Asia Pacific region. Their products are sold to a diverse range of commercial and government clients through brands that are considered industry leaders globally. Due to ongoing expansion and strategic acquisition in the China market they are now looking to appoint a suitably experienced business development professional to this strategically commercial business development position to drive export sales.
Job Description
This role is responsible for developing and executing a co-ordinated export sales strategy for the group of companies that make up newly acquired China businesses for the company. Working closely with the senior management team of these companies you will formulate and implement business plans to grow their consumer durable export sales to newly acquired international customers as well as identifying cross-selling opportunities through the existing client base of other companies in the group. An important aspect of this role will be to facilitate improved communication between companies in the group in order to create new commercial opportunities. You will also work closely with Market Intelligence teams to research market trends and information to underpin strategic decision making and create new sales opportunities.
The Successful Applicant
To be considered for this position you must have a clear track record of successful business development expertise gained through your employment within a large multinational corporation related to the manufacturing/consumer durables sector. Your sales and business development experience must be related to facilitating export sales out of Greater China to multinational companies in Europe, The Americas or other parts of Asia. You will also have strong written and verbal English and Mandarin language skills with experience in managing communication and stakeholders across a complex business to achieve clearly defined commercial objectives. Suitable candidates can be based in Hong Kong or China and this role will involve substantial travel within China in order to achieve it's commercial objectives.
