About Our Client
Our client is a luxury hotel accommodation group that is aggressively expanding in China and across Asia. They have recently created a Business Development Director position to drive their continued expansion and investment in their products and services and promotion of their luxury hospitality brand.

Job Description
Reporting to the CEO and working with the Executive management team you will conduct market research activities to identify suitable opportunities for the company to expand their number of sites across Asia through which it provides luxury hotel and hospitality services. This will involve negotiating the provision of management services to the existing owners of properties or making recommendation that an acquisition of the property is the best commercial outcome for your company. When you have identified a suitable property your role will also be to market your company's services to the existing property owners to convince them of the benefits that your company can provide to them and their customers should you take management or ownership of their operation. It is also your responsibility to prepare reports and presentations to deliver to your management team and company investors to make recommendations related to expansion plans.

The Successful Applicant
You must have experience of driving a business development function related to the expansion of an existing hotel or hospitality property portfolio across multiple countries in Asia or other parts of the world. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and ideally Mandarin are also crucial to your success in this role. You must be well versed in research techniques related to the hotel and hospitality industry and comfortable in presenting to an executive level audience. You will also be comfortable with significant travel to China, India and other parts of Asia to execute your role.
