About Our Client

Our client is a world famous bank, currently fast growing in Guangdong province. They are actively hiring an Assistant Security Manager to assist the security management across Guangdong province.

Job Description

• Assist to manage all physical security matters for the HBCN business in Guangdong province, China. Physical security matters mainly cover, but not limited to, setup and maintenance of security equipment and management of the guarding and cash-in-transit services.
• Implement tactical security solutions devised and as guided by the Headquarters office in Shanghai
• Support relationship management with key stakeholders pertinent to the Guangdong business - internally with customer groups/product groups/function groups in Guangdong and externally with regulators and contractors relevant to the Guangdong business.
• Support to ensure security risks are appropriately mitigated and on-goingly managed.
• Support the branch network expansion project in Guangdong by managing the implementation of compliant security measures within agreed time-frames.
• As guided and support by the HBCN/Guangdong management, assist to manage any arising security incidents that impact on any part of the Guangdong business in a timely manner to contain damage and impact.
• Keep abreast of relevant local risks and threats. Assist to manage the risks and threats as appropriate in conjunction with management.
• Supervise and monitor security matters and tasks to ensure compliance of the security operation, and timely act to facilitate regulatory inspections as required by local regulators.
• Contribute to the development of appropriate policies and procedures for the Guangdong business.
• Assist to conduct reviews of security risks as required by the HBCN/Guangdong management, and support Group Audit and/or Internal Audit as security risk audits as arising.
• Maintain HSBC internal control standards, implement and observe Group Compliance Policy and maintain awareness of operational risk and minimize the likelihood of it occurring

The Successful Applicant

• Bachelor or above;
• Demonstrable relevant working experience;
• Be able to manage security tasks and projects independently;
• Experience in security cost management;
• Writing skills in both Chinese and English; Fluent Mandarin and Cantonese;
• Ability to prioritize and manage under time pressure;
• Relationship management and communication skills and be capable of developing rapport with internal and external stakeholders;
• Possessing a compliance mind-set.
