Our client is listed on the Hong Kong stock exchange and has numerous engineering contracting related business units, from civil and mechanical engineering projects through to shipbuilding and project management activities.
Job Description
Report to the General Manager, Ship Management, you will be responsible to lead a small team of purchasing staff to perform all sourcing activities. A key responsibility of the role will be to manage supplier relationship, conducting regular supplier reviews and price negotiation. You will be also responsible to collect and analyze market information periodically to develop long and short term strategies to maximize cost savings.
The Successful Applicant
To qualify for this role, you will be a degree holder in Purchasing or related discipline. You will have a minimum of 3 years solid experience in purchasing, preferably in marine / construction field. You will have solid experience in vendor evaluation and management, and development and implementation of internal control for supply chain management. With good network with material suppliers is beneficial. Excellent communication in English and Cantonese is essential; Mandarin speaking is preferable.
