About Our Client
Our client is a reputable Hong Kong listed developer with a mixed of commercial, residential and industrial premises.
(a) manage and lead a team of professional and technical staff to provide professional service in maintenance/improvement of buildings including their infrastructure;
(b) oversee the implementation of planned repairs and maintenance of buildings;
(c) liaise closely with other Sections of the Office to formulate and revise the strategies for maintenance/improvement of buildings;
(d) advise on taking over of new buildings/newly renovated premises;
(e) assume strategic planning and budgetary control of maintenance programmes for existing buildings;
(f) formulate and review standards and specifications for building maintenance;
(g) assess and make recommendation on proposals received from tenderer;
(h) liaise closely with the University's internal departments to plan for the cyclic maintenance of existing buildings;
(i) arrange and give advice on the leased premises outside the campus;
(j) perform shift duties including Saturdays/Sundays/public holidays as necessary;
The Successful Applicant
(a) have a recognised degree or above in Building Surveying or related disciplines plus extensive managerial/specialist experience with not less than eight year's solid relevant experience in building maintenance;
(b) possess in-depth and extensive knowledge of building regulations, building maintenance management and technology;
(c) have excellent communication, interpersonal and supervisory skills;
(d) have an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; and
(e) be proactive and result-oriented, and must be able to formulate/implement plans independently and work under pressure.
Preference will be given to those who are a registered professional Surveyor and/or with professional knowledge in structural engineering.
