About Our Client
Our client is a well established multinational company in consumer products. It is a leading company in the market and has established a strong distribution network for its products. For better supplier management across the region, they are looking for an outstanding individual to join the winning team.
This role will be the key to drive the procurement functions for the APAC region to maximise cost saving opportunity. You will further develop the procurement framework and process, from supplier management to cost optimisation. As an expert in procurement, you will monitor the supplier performance and ensure the demand of the required production materials being met. From a strategic point of view, you will define and implement measures to assure the procurement activities align with the corporate policies and global supply.
The Successful Applicant
To qualify, you will have at least 6 years of procurement experience. Prior regional exposure is an absolute advantage. You will be knowledgeable in strategic sourcing, practices and procedures. Product exposure in components and production materials including electronics, plastics and packaging is preferred. Strong communication skill is required as you will deal with different parties, internal teams and external vendors. Good command in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) is required. You will also be open to occasional travelling.
