About Our Client
Our client is one of the largest European retailers and market leader specialise in the consumer electronics, home accessories and furniture. We are now seeking for an experienced Merchandising Manager in Furniture (Indoor/Outdoor/Kitchen) and hardware to join the team.
As the Merchandising Manager, you will be responsible to develop and grow the team and the business, expand vendor base and manage existing suppliers not limited to Mainland but offshore as well. By working closely with buyer, you will be involved from the product development stage to price negotiation all the way to ensuring quality standards are met for on-time delivery. You are also required to demonstrate good understanding of the market trend and the competitors.
The Successful Applicant
You will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in the relevant category of which 5 years at a managerial level. Strong technical knowledge in furniture and hardware and thorough understanding of the EU import standard is highly desired. You must be willing to travel occasionally for work and demonstrate good interpersonal and leadership skills along with proficiency in English & Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).
