About Our Client
Our Client is one of the largest wholesale and retail groups with over 200,000 employees worldwide. We are now seeking an experience Merchandising Manager (Commercial Kitchen Appliances) to join their Hong Kong Buying office to lead their existing team.
Leading the merchandising team, you will work closely with internal and external responsible parties in order to initiate and implement potential sourcing projects according to the head-quarter's direction. You will identify, manage and overcome issues that might arise throughout the product development process. Working closely with your own team, buyer and suppliers, you will advise, coach and educate them on products requirements, market trends social issues within the budget in order to archive optimal outcome.
The Successful Applicant
To qualify, you must have at least 8 years of experience in merchandising commercial/large appliances (oven, stove, heater etc) which 3 years in managerial level along with a relevant Bachelor degree. You must be a leader with entrepreneurial mindset who has expert knowledge in procurement and sourcing for the European market. You must have good command in both spoken/written English and Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin). Frequent travel to China is required.
