Create software project plan and management system to include test plan development and execution of project.
Model, develop and validate embedded software applications. - Select and integrate software modules to
build embedded software applications.
Create and apply digital signal processing methods to develop embedded software solutions.
Design software to drive system optimization, improve module/component design and enhance product reliability.
Interact with Electronics and Electrical system integrator leads to review and consolidate application to meet Platform Product Roadmaps.
Create software modules re-usage plan and integration.
Model, develop and validate embedded software applications. - Utilize existing knowledge in electronics around
communication protocols/microcontroller peripherals / touch sensor technologies / LED driving
Partner with Electronic and Electrical System Subsystem teams to design and integrate new feature for the framework.
Create embedded software and Documentation (Modeling, internal and external documentation)
Contribute to the Electronics and Electrical system roadmap by acting as subject matter expert for represented
Drive and deliver projects by leading a cross-functional technical team.
The Successful Applicant
Engineering Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mecathronic, Electronics, Computer Science; advanced engineering degree is preferred - 5+ years overall experience needed
Electrical engineering background (both hardware and software)
The ideal candidate is someone from a electronics background who has designed high volume, mid power, high quality products
Broad experience in small embedded systems, especially 8-bit, 16-bit and 32-bit micro-controllers
Experience in the following areas is important: system integration, various communication protocols, AC loads (<1000W) - Experience with industry standard software languages, embedded software development and tools
Specific knowledge: C, C++, ASM, I2C, UART, SPI, UML, familiar with Matlab & Simulink, familiar with MBD approach, Static Analysis of the code, MISTRA rules, Safety Critical FW, CMS, SQA concepts, knowledge of TTD approach
Knowledge of OPEX, Agile development, FMEA, A3 methodology - Exposure to small embedded systems, especially 8-bit, 16-bit and 32-bit micro-controllers
Project assessment and risk management skills
Experience managing projects in stage-gate process
Able to work with Global teams within function and cross functionally, positively influencing the organization in all directions
Effective communication and negotiating skills
Able to think strategically and creatively provide solutions
