About Our Client
Our client is a leading corporation with a diversified business portfolio covering property development, entertainment and tourism industries. To facilitate their business expansion in APAC, they are now hiring a high calibre individual to join their corporate finance team.
The Corporate Finance Manager will be a key member in the corporate finance team to lead, structure, negotiate and implement corporate transactions, and to continue to monitor and review loan portfolios. The manager will present business case to senior management internally and relevant business partners outside the organisation to support all projects and transactions. The role will support business units and functions by providing corporate finance support, as well as executing investment opportunities, fund-raising initiatives and asset monetization activities. This will be a full-cycle corporate finance job starting from financial analysis of existing and target assets/loan portfolios/new ventures, preparation of board papers, negotiation with banks for financing options to execution and completion of the transaction. It is the manager's responsibility to ensure due compliance with Company's policies and procedures when carrying out transactions, and to update and refine policies based on industry best practice whenever necessary. Strategically, the manager will continually review the company's corporate funding/capital structure and to update financial models and projections. The role's daily work will also involve reviewing commercial and financial aspects of new business proposals and agreements in relation to transactions and to come up with proposed recommendations.
The Successful Applicant
Related degree and professional qualification in Accountancy/ Corporate Finance / Banking with over 6 years of related experience such as financial/corporate finance advisory, investment buy-side or in-house corporate finance department in sizable corporations. CFA, ICAEW, CPA and MBA qualifications would be a bonus. The candidate would be able to spearhead transactions and provide overall guidance to subordinates to ensure quality work and deliverable are produced according to stipulated time lines and objectives. Solid technical and financial skills including financial modelling/numerical/analytical and good commercial sense, and the ability to review financial/commercial aspects of legal documentation and negotiate points with counter-party are necessary.
The candidate will be familiar with multi-tasking in a dynamic and fast-moving environment and to work well under pressure. Occasional travel might be needed for assignments. It is critical to have good written English and report writing skills as well as fluent in spoken English and Chinese. Other key attributes include being proactive in coming up with recommendations for senior management and possess strong drive to succeed.
Experience in investment banking or investors relations would be an advantage.
