About Our Client
Our client is a multinational manufacturer specializing in electronics. It is well established in the industry and has built a strong worldwide network. To strengthen the team, they are currently looking for an outstanding individual with strong experience in commodity purchasing to join their winning team.
This is a key role to develop cost effective and long term purchasing strategies for the organization. You will manage the commodities required in production sites in order to achieve the company goal i.e. cost savings. Monitoring the overall purchasing cycle, you will develop an accurate and reliable KPI system to measure the activity level and efficiency. Contract development will also be a key duty of which you will be accountable in negotiating with vendors to leverage the largest buying power. In the long run, you will ensure all the purchasing processes and systems align with the best interests of the organization meanwhile meeting all the legal requirements.
The Successful Applicant
To qualify, you will have at least 6 years of experience in commodity purchasing, including equipment or spare parts. You will have track record in handling service contracts. Knowledge in electronics/PCB industry is a must. Good command of English, Mandarin and Cantonese is a must. You will also be open to travelling.
