Michael Page International extends charity program in 2010
Global recruitment firm Michael Page International has extended its support of charities in Hong Kong and Southern China as part of a regional strategy to increase charity contributions.
“We have been part of the local business community for over 15 years. As a global company we have a responsibility to support the local communities where our people live and work,” said Anthony Thompson, Managing Director, Hong Kong and Southern China.
Over recent years Michael Page has been a key supporter of the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, which raises money for research into childhood cancer. Michael Page also supports the fundraising efforts of Operation Smile, a charity that funds reconstructive surgery for children born with facial deformities such as cleft lip and cleft palate. More recently, Michael Page has extended its charity program to include a HK$200 donation to the Children’s Cancer Foundation for all invoices settled within 30 days.
“Over the last few years our team has raised almost HK$600,000 for charity initiatives in Hong Kong and Southern China. We are very passionate about supporting the local population and helping to raise the quality of life of those less fortunate. We will continue our support of these important causes and strive to develop more innovative ways to contribute through our own initiatives,” said Mr Thompson.
